Break Buddy is a small foundation from Hilversum, started by people who know the waitlist first-hand. A small board, a clear mission and a lot of care.
Break Buddy started with a simple observation: thousands of people in the Netherlands wait years for gender care, and almost nobody walks with them. Suus and Ryan, our founders, decided something should stand against that. Not another institution, but something human: someone who comes to walk beside you.
That is how Stichting Break Buddy was born. The name says it: we want to break the loneliness of waiting. Buddy by buddy, match by match.
